* To make changes to database tables in your permanent database, copy the new database file to a temporary file and give it a temporary name. Then open your permanent database. Go to File\Get External Data\Import, select the directory containing the temporary database, and choose that file to import. A list of all tables in the temporary database will appear. Select the table(s) that you want to replace (e.g., Institutions) and import that. If you have a table with the same name in your permanent database, the new table will be given the same name followed by a "1" (e.g., Institutions1). Examine the new table. After you are certain that it is the table you want, erase the old table and rename the new one by erasing the "1" from the end of the name (e.g., "Institutions1" is renamed "Institutions.").
